Netanyahu spoke about the “sudden” meeting with Putin in Sochi

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu revealed the reasons for the “urgent” meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, which took place on 23 August in Sochi. According to the politician, the situation in the region against the backdrop of the victories over the terrorists of ISIS (a group banned in Russia) in Syria is changing. In this regard, in Israel, they see a new threat to the country.

Netanyahu remarked that the events in recent weeks, indicating a high probability of defeating international terrorists.

“It’s good. But the bad thing is that Iran is actively, explicitly and systematically into it, how goes the IG,” – said the Israeli Prime Minister (quoted by RIA news).

In Israel consider Iran as one of its main geopolitical rivals. The Israelis accuse Tehran of its intention to start a war, and Iran’s presence in Syria is causing concern.

Netanyahu said that Iran does not hide the plans to deploy in Syria, its armed forces – land force and Navy. “And one of its objectives is the beginning of the war with Israel…,” says the politician. At the meeting with Putin, he said that Iran’s actions threaten the world.

On the occasion of the meeting with the Russian leader Netanyahu noted that such negotiations have always served the security interests of both countries.
