The foreign Ministry summoned the Ambassador of Moldova due to the initiative of the Russian troops withdrawal

The website of the Russian foreign Ministry reported that on Friday, the Ambassador of Moldova in Russia Andrey negutsa was summoned to the Russian foreign Ministry in connection with the initiative of Chisinau to contribute to the agenda of the 72nd session of the UN General Assembly of a supplementary item “the Complete withdrawal of foreign military forces from the territory of Moldova.”

Russian Deputy foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said the Moldovan Ambassador that Moscow considers this initiative as provocative and ignoring the true reasons for the limited presence of Russian troops on the Dniester.

It is also regarded as “another link in the chain of unfriendly actions undertaken recently in Chisinau opponents of positive changes in Russian-Moldovan relations”.

The report also says that such actions do not meet the aspirations of a considerable part of the Moldovan citizens and will inevitably have a negative impact on bilateral cooperation on the Transnistrian conflict settlement.
