Meanwhile, our sources continue to confirm the information about “business Aleksashenko”.

We asked experts to answer questions – whether the former Deputy Minister of Finance former Vice-Chairman of the Board of the Central Bank) be and is now a carrier of state secrets? And can there be “awards” associated with the critical position of him in relation to the Russian government?

Yevgeny Yasin, Minister of economy of the Russian Federation in 1994-1997, academic supervisor of the HSE: “I do Not think that the situation around Aleksashenko linked to public positions that he has held in the past. It is likely, in his critical statements about Russia, which arouse objection in power. Aleksashenko — my friend and pupil. Our views on politics and the economy converge not in all, but not too different. I listen to his opinion, which is having an impact on Russian society. Aleksashenko now lives and works in Washington, but in Russia comes over regularly. However, it is put in such a position that it is no longer appear and have reduced their activity in our country. As for orders, which he had taken out, there are a lot of questions. Maybe he collects them, or planned to sell. But I do not exclude that this was not at all”.

Eugene Cartago, the Chairman of the Collegium of advocates “starinsky, Cartago and partners”: “depending on the degree of secrecy of information constituting a state secret, there are the following forms of tolerance. The first – to information of special importance. The second to top secret information, and the third to classified information. In particular, entities that are allowed to information of special importance, are not allowed to leave the country a certain period of time. However, the violation of this prohibition of liability is not established. Another thing, if an official disclosed information of special importance. In this case, the law provides for criminal liability, up to the high treason”.
