Media: Ukraine will toughen the rules of entry for Russians until September 1

The government of Ukraine plans to soon make the decision on the new procedure of entry of Russian citizens. From the visa regime, it was decided to refuse, but there will be other serious limitations.

Of the impending changes to border crossing, the newspaper “Kommersant” said sources in the Cabinet and the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

Under the new rules, the entry on the territory of Ukraine will be possible only for biometric passports. Another innovation – electronic questionnaire on the website of the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Ukraine, which you will specify information about yourself, including occupation and place of work, the exact purpose of the trip and settlements that are going to attend.

It is planned that notify of your arrival it will be necessary for the month — with the exception of emergencies, such as illness or death of a relative. Interlocutors of the edition claim that the Ukrainian government could change the rules of entry for Russians until 1 September.

Kiev originally planned to enter with Russia a full-fledged visa regime, but later this idea have decided to refuse from residents of the Crimea. “If we had cancelled the agreement on visa-free regime with Russia, these people would lose the possibility to travel freely to our country,” – said the Deputy Minister of the temporarily occupied territories Yury Grymchak.
