Kravchuk said the Ukraine outwitted Russia in 1991


The ex-President of Ukraine Leonid Kravchuk said in an interview with “Apostrophe” that Ukraine when signing the Belavezha accords managed cleverly to leave the Crimea, as promised that the region will have the right to enter into any agreements with Russia, but has not fulfilled those promises.

“I was pushing all the time joint and several liability… And this approach of joint and several liability when a constructive dialogue with Russia, let us not be afraid of this word – outsmart it,” – said Kravchuk.

However, the promises of freedom were not met by Kiev recognized ex-President that, in his opinion, and led to the loss of the region.
