The arrested mayor of Vladivostok wrote to Putin on donated 1 billion roubles


Suspended the mayor of Vladivostok Igor Pushkarev, who was arrested on criminal charges of corruption, has sent an open letter to President Vladimir Putin. In it, the former mayor said that his family donated to the city of building materials of nearly 1 billion rubles.

The text of the appeal to the RF President Igor Pushkarev published in his Facebook. In the letter the former mayor wants to draw attention to his case, because, according to Pushkarev, the information about it “is heard in a distorted manner, or not heard at all.”

Accusation investigation he calls the absurd, and his case was fabricated. Removed the mayor claims that he has completely devoted himself to work for the good of the Motherland, “regardless of one’s own interests and the interests of the family”, has successfully prepared the Vladivostok for the 2012 APEC summit.

So, according to Pushkarev, his family “was donated to the city of building materials of nearly one billion rubles.” “Today, I stand accused of manipulating the price of building materials, which my family donated to the city. Any sane person would say that is absurd,” continued the ex-mayor.

According to him, the investigators openly admitted that the problem does not lie in a legal plane. “I’m not with the smoke a peace pipe” — quoted Pushkarev words of one of the investigators. From this he concludes that the only driving force behind his arrest was the “maintenance of someone’s personal interests”.

At the end of the letter Pushkarev said that refers to the President as the guarantor of the Constitution “not for the loyalty and gentleness, and for protection for the sake of justice”.

The mayor of the Primorye capital Igor Pushkarev and Director of the municipal enterprise “Roads Vladivostok” Andrey Lushnikov was arrested in June 2016. TFR accused them of abuse of office and commercial bribery. Custody in this case also is the brother of Andrey Pushkarev.

According to investigators, Igor Pushkarev was organized by the purchase at inflated prices of building materials MUP “Roads Vladivostok” the group of companies “Vostokcement”, causing the company losses of 158 million rubles. In addition, the investigation found that the company “Vostokcement” run by close relatives of the mayor.
