However, the Minister promised that the Russian authorities will not be “uptight Americans”, apparently, meaning that the latter will be able to obtain visas to visit Russia as before.

“Look, I can only say one thing: we won’t disrupt the evil on American citizens. That is, if anyone was hoping that in this case, a bad example is contagious, he miscalculated,” – said Lavrov.

The Minister added that their actions, Washington is trying to cause resentment of Russian citizens toward their government.

We will remind, today at the U.S. Embassy in Russia announced the suspension of non-immigrant visa throughout the country until September 1. After this date a visa will be possible only in Moscow. In addition, American diplomats in Russia will not accept applications for visas from citizens of Belarus.
