Crimea will never be Ukrainian again. This opinion was expressed by Deputy Chairman of the party “Alternative for Germany” Alexander Gauland. In his opinion, anti-Russian sanctions will not force Russia to abandon the Peninsula. For this reason, limits are meaningless, said Gowland. Experienced German politician proposes to recognize the Crimea a part of Russia.
The Funke media group publishes in a Saturday interview with the Deputy Chairman of the German party “Alternative for Germany” Aleksander Gulandom in which an experienced politician talks about the meaninglessness of anti-Russian sanctions adopted by the EU after the annexation of Crimea to Russia, and the need to recognize the Peninsula part of the Russian Federation.
According to Gauland, in the Ukraine, the region will not return ever. And to rely on sanctions in this matter makes no sense – they won’t be able to change.
“Crimea will never return to the Ukraine, the sanctions did not bring”, – the politician said.
In this situation, Howland sees only one true solution: the Peninsula should recognize the Russian.
“It would be correct to recognize Crimea as part of Russia”, – leads edition of the words of the policy.
He also noted that it is not alone in this opinion.
“Including Mr. Lindner is now realized,” he recalled, Gowland.
The head of the Free democratic party Christian Lindner has previously proposed to focus in German-Russian relations in other areas, leaving the Crimean issue out of the equation. According to Lindner, Berlin needs to achieve success in bilateral cooperation with Moscow if this does not happen, the sanctions should be tougher.
The politician believes that the opposition of Russia the North Atlantic Alliance should be terminated.
“Russia is a power, and we must bring her to the construction of European order. You need to stop its opposition to NATO”, – said Gowland.
