Lithuanian Prime Minister accused Putin of trying to “economic strangulation” of the Baltic States

Prime Minister of Lithuania Saulius Squirrels criticized made by Russian President Vladimir Putin the idea to redirect Belarusian goods to the Russian ports on the Baltic sea — Primorsk and Ust-Luga.

Writes three Lebanese source, Squirrels considered such a proposal an attempt to “economic strangulation”, not only Lithuania, but also Estonia and Latvia.

Squirrels believes that Belarus transshipped through the Klaipeda oil products, wheeled equipment, potash fertilizers and other export-oriented products, this shift will be unfavorable.

“But there are countries that make decisions based on political rather than economic motives”, – said the Lithuanian Prime Minister.
