“From a submerged position”: the submarine “Severodvinsk” spent firing cruise missile “Calibre”


Friday was produced by the successful launch of the cruise missile “Calibre” from a nuclear submarine “Severodvinsk” in the Barents sea. The launch is performed at a target located at the site in the Arkhangelsk region. The rocket flew about 600 miles. The combat exercise was performed by the crew from a submerged position, said the press service of the Northern fleet.

On Friday, there was the launch of a cruise missile of sea basing “the leader of the” multipurpose nuclear submarine “Severodvinsk”. The missile hit the target on the range Chizha in the Arkhangelsk region. The combat exercise was performed from a submerged position.

“The crew performed a combat exercise from a submerged position in one of the ranges of combat training of the Northern fleet in the Barents sea. The missile was produced on range Chizha in the Arkhangelsk region”, – quotes Agency TASS reported the press service of the Northern fleet.

It is reported that from the start to the target, the rocket flew about 600 miles. The shooting was carried out with a given accuracy.

“According to objective control, the shooting was done with a given accuracy and confirmation of all flight and technical parameters”, – is spoken in the message.

In a press-service of the fleet noted the high professionalism and naval training of the crew of the submarine shown in the implementation start-up.

These missiles, the Navy successfully used to defeat terrorists in Syria in 2015.
