The United States “very seriously” are reported on the supply of Ukrainian rocket engines to North Korea. This statement came from the lips of the official representative of US state Department Heather Nauert.

“Of course, we know about these messages. This is a question that we take very seriously, if it really was so,” said Nauert reporters at a briefing.

The head of the press service of the Department of state also told about the plans of the American administration to verify the data and get the issue under control.

At the same time, Nauert reminded reporters that Ukraine had made efforts to prevent the supply of materials to countries of concern to Washington, in particular North Korea.

Days earlier, the newspaper The New York Times, after reviewing the report of the International Institute for strategic studies (IISS) and data security services announced that the major successes of the DPRK in its missile program have Ukrainian roots. The publication claimed that the engines for the North Korean missiles were produced at the Dnepropetrovsk “Yuzhmash”.
