According to Volchek, a small implantable chips are used in veterinary medicine since the mid 2000-ies, and today in the United States and China, these devices are quite extensively developed for people. However, among people practice “typowanie” has not yet gained much popularity, in particular due to the fact that it is opposed by some public figures. However, the article published by the opponents of Kalantarov, made the Russian physician be interested in this, and later, to implant a few chips themselves, but also to participate in the development of new devices of this kind.

Chips implanted a physician, consist of a ferrite core with a coil and a very small chip. The average size of this kind of devices is 2 to 12 millimeters and the minimum is 1.5 to 8 millimeters. Under the skin they entered a large syringe with a thick needle.

Russian uses some of the chips as door keys, which can be applied to the electronic lock and go through the access control system at his place of work and in one of the visited resorts. Other devices capable of storing from 800 bytes to 1 kilobyte of information, and one of them contains a business card of a resident of Novosibirsk, and the other stored passwords and some other data. Colleagues and friends of the doctor, in his own words unusual implants surprise did not cause.

Volchek claims that when properly installed, the implants are not felt, and use them so convenient that it very quickly becomes a habit. To extract implanted chips, if desired, also no problems.

According to the Russians, in the future, implanted chips will be able to perform the function of inalienable implanted crypto-stick, that is used for electronic signature and payment at contactless terminals. An even more important step would be the creation of implantable glucose meter for measuring blood sugar level and other developments that allow to use the chips for medical purposes, said Volchek.
