Makeev said on air of the Ukrainian TV channel ZIK, the introduction of a visa regime between Russia and Ukraine will not bring the desired results. My point of view, he argued that the Embassy staff are unlikely to recognize “terrorist in an ordinary-looking man.

Besides, it will have to spend 56,7 – 76.5 million dollars, as previously reported by the representative of the President of Ukraine in the Verkhovna Rada Iryna Lutsenko, reports RIA Novosti.

“Let’s simulate such a moment: any terrorist gets to the Ukrainian Embassy, provides the passport, explains the purpose of the visit, but the Ukrainian Consul – for example, in Rostov-na-Donu – does not recognize him as a terrorist. It is not his function is one of the special services”, – said the representative of the foreign Ministry of Ukraine.

Makeev expressed confidence that this mechanism will not bring any good to the Ukrainian security services. According to him, they “have very different goals, they are looking for very different information”.

In early June the Minister of foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin said that his Department is ready to introduce a visa regime with Russia. According to him, Kyiv will first distribute biometric passports, and then arranges the system of control over the Republic came to the Russians.

In turn, the press Secretary of the President Dmitry Peskov warned that in this case will be taken retaliatory measures, which primarily affected the Ukrainians (in Russia employs about 4 million Square citizens).
