The document was developed by U.S. diplomats in response to the held in July, two launches of Intercontinental ballistic missiles. According to the calculations of Washington, the sanctions will reduce the annual income of Pyongyang for a billion dollars.

DPRK authorities called the resolution a “terrorist act” and said that North Korea in response may use “physical action” and “to mobilize national power.” The Minister of foreign Affairs of the DPRK Lee Yun Ho, in turn, promised to teach Washington “a tough lesson with the use of nuclear weapons” in case of military provocation.
