Answering the question about the possibility of Alexei Navalny to take the seat of the President of Russia, the former head of Yukos said that its cover this thought with mixed feelings. On the one hand, he would be happy to care Putin, on the other hand, if we evaluate the prospects from the point of view of Russia’s future, he looks for a victory without optimism. A similar opinion was expressed by Khodorkovsky even despite the fact that you have repeatedly expressed support for the founder of FBC and declared its readiness to support Navalny in presidential elections in 2018, if they allow it.
“On the one hand, I would have taken the victory Bulk with joy. Because the turnover of power is a good thing. But on the other hand, I would say the Russians: “you guys do warehouses on hard times”, – said Khodorkovsky.
“With the victory of Navalny Russia sooner or later – in five, maybe six years – will go back to bad for all the system of monopoly power, when there is one center of legitimacy, which is empowered to make decisions, and all others depend on it. As is happening in Russia now”, – said the oligarch.
Khodorkovsky stated with regret that in Russia the path of the leader, the President for some reason is always more or less the same.
“Remember, Putin in the beginning of his presidential power were more liberal… All the people I treated very well, went through this evolution… So it is very important that Alexei Navalny was in power and brought with him new people…. Therefore, it is proper to raise the question: who after Putin and after Putin?” he added.
