Nino Burjanadze: the South Ossetia war in 2008, Saakashvili started

Former speaker of the Georgian Parliament Nino Burjanadze on the anniversary of the Georgian-South Ossetian conflict on Tuesday, August 8, said that the war in South Ossetia on 8 August 2008 unleashed the odious former Georgian leader Mikheil Saakashvili, but Georgia is afraid to admit the truth, reports RT.

“Started the war, Saakashvili (President of Georgia from 2008 to 2013). The responsibility for these tragic events lies primarily on it. Representatives of all media declared me an enemy of Georgia. And still — despite the findings of the EU Commission, despite the claims of Heidi Tagliavini (the Swiss diplomat who headed an international Commission to investigate the causes of the 2008 conflict) and the universal understanding of what really happened in Georgia uncomfortable talking about what started the war, Saakashvili. No one wants to focus on this and speak on this issue”, — said Burjanadze.
