The German government urged to refrain from discussions about the status of Crimea

Coordinator of the Cabinet of Ministers of Germany for German-Russian intersocietal cooperation Gernot Erler pointed out the need to focus on finding a political solution to the conflict in the Donbass and to refrain from discussions on the status of Crimea.

“The European consensus provides that first you need to concentrate on a political solution to the bloody conflict in Eastern Ukraine and the Crimean issue should be put on the agenda only in the subsequent political process,” said Erler in an interview with Funke.
