As have informed on Friday TV channel NBC, citing Pentagon sources, the US government recommended transfer to Ukraine of high-tech samples of anti-tank weapons. Mass media consider that we are talking mainly about the famous missile the Javelin. However, evidence that the White house has already decided on such transfers from American journalists there. However, the Pentagon considers such a step expedient.

The representative of the Ministry of defense of the United States, speaking to reporters, refused to confirm the fact of transfer to the White house such recommendations, but noted that the U.S. is “not ruling anything out”.

In turn, state Department spokesman Heather Nauert also previously noted that the US did not supply arms to Kiev, but such a possibility remains.

The US Admiral retired James Stavridis believes that this proposal is personally the Minister of defence James Mattis. According to some in the administration now, and I think painfully, to deliver weapons to Kiev, directly or through an intermediary, and also about who will train Ukrainian soldiers to use these weapons.

We will remind that in February of this year, the head of the armed services Committee of the U.S. Senate John McCain wrote a letter to President Donald Trump in which he called part of the defense budget for 2017 to provide Ukraine with lethal weapons.

On Wednesday, the U.S. newspaper the Wall Street Journal reported that supposedly the Pentagon and the state Department has prepared a plan to supply the Ukrainian authorities ‘ anti-tank missiles and other weapons. Then the press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov, commenting on the report, said: “We believe that all countries, especially those countries that claim to be in the settlement, should avoid any actions that could provoke another round of tension in an already difficult region.”
