The energy Ministry demanded an explanation of the European Union for the introduction of Russians to the sanctions list

The Ministry of energy of Russia said that the spread of punitive EU restrictions on employees of the Russian energy Ministry over alleged supply of turbines by Siemens in the Crimea is extremely puzzling.

In a statement, the energy Ministry said that the EU’s intervention in a dispute between two business entities is a direct violation of international law, and no legal grounds for inclusion of Russians in the sanctions blacklist for the current sad tradicii was not presented. This “hostage situation” was Siemens.

In the Russian energy Ministry does not doubt that the EU made the decision “based solely on political considerations.”

The energy Ministry said that they expect to receive from the EU additional explanations on the arisen difficult situation.
