The EU has formally imposed sanctions against Russia because of the turbines Siemens

The press service of the EU Council issued a statement about the decision on the extension of the EU sanctions list against Russia because of the supply of turbines by Siemens in the Crimea to bypass sanctions.

Earlier it was reported that the decision was agreed by the permanent representatives of the EU and remained only a formal approval of the EU Council.

Diplomatic sources in the morning even reported that this will be announced on Friday. Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov then commenting on these reports, said: “This is not a reason for our reaction.”
