The EU announced the extension of sanctions against Russia because of Siemens

Diplomatic sources told Reuters on Friday that the EU will decide on the extension of sanctions against Russia in connection with the case of the supply of turbines by Siemens in the Crimea to bypass sanctions.

Previously this decision was held at the level of permanent representatives of member countries of the EU, but still required the decision of the EU Council.

Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov said that the Kremlin is no reaction to the possible introduction of these sanctions, since the EU’s decision has not been taken yet.
