The foreign Ministry of the USA has published a statement addressed to all American citizens currently in North Korea. The state Department demanded that they leave the DPRK not later than 1 September.
“All citizens currently in North Korea on a U.S. passport must leave the country before the restriction on travel will take effect on Friday, 1 September 2017. After this date, passports U.S. citizens will no longer function when I travel to Korea or for transit through this country. There’s an exception applies to journalists and humanitarian workers and also for cases that meet the national security interests of the United States” – said in a statement.
