EBU was forbidden to send on “Eurovision” singers, with “special backgrounds”

The European broadcasting Union (ЕBU) issued a document about the changing rules of the music competition “Eurovision”.

To change the conditions I had because of the scandal arising out of a competition this year in Ukraine, which was not admitted by the Russian party Yulia Samoylova, due to her performances in the Crimea without the approval of Kiev.

In the EBU noted that the competition should not be politicized and used as a tool to manipulate, otherwise it will face disqualification all participants and broadcasters.

At the same time, under the new rules, countries should not send the contest of the singers and members of delegations, especially biographies which can give grounds host country to impose a ban on their entry in accordance with the law.
