US Congressman explained why he refused to vote for sanctions against Russia

A member of the house of representatives of the United States Congress John Duncan on Thursday, July 27, explained why they voted against a new penalty imposed against Russia.

Only “cons” of new restrictive measures voted three American Congressman, while the bill on anti-Russian sanctions were supported by 419 members of the house of representatives.

“The tightening of sanctions against Russia was based on the alleged Russian interference in our presidential elections. However, if they did, it was completely ineffective, and Russia have recently supported us in the fight against “Islamic state” (banned in Russia as a terrorist group) and the establishment of the ceasefire in Syria,” explained Duncan.

Earlier it was reported that US senators have reached agreement on new sanctions against Russia.
