MP Rosenblatt deprived of immunity for bribe

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine 296 votes supported the proposal of the Prosecutor General on the withdrawal of parliamentary immunity from the Deputy-a mazhoritarshchik from Zhitomir Borislav Rosenblatt. Commandos of the National anticorruption Bureau of Ukraine, expecting the same results for two other views on the people’s choice (the criminal prosecution and the taking under arrest) however disappointed. Rosenblatt “failed”: for both views voted a little more than one hundred and eighty deputies with the necessary 226 votes.

Rosenblat, as well as passing in the same case colleague in Parliament Maxim Polyakov, received a substantial dollar bribe for agreeing to rewrite the bill on the mining of amber in favour of a certain commercial structure. Both the people’s choice did not know that the intermediary acts as agent “Catherine” is a classified employee of NABOO undercover.

Both deputies were compounded by another factor: the detectives NAB has implemented a multi-pass operation to expose corrupt officials together with sent to the Ukraine by members of the FBI. To quarrel with such influential foreign office none of the members of the Verkhovna Rada did not dare.
