The white house has supported the new sanctions against Russia

The United States supports the sanctions that are stated in the bill of the us Senate, Russia and Iran, said the Director of legislative activities at the White house mark Shorts.

“The administration supports sanctions contained in the bill for Russia and Iran. The administration fully supports these sanctions,” he said.

However, as noted Short, the President is concerned that the document is “legally creates an unusual precedent for the delegation of foreign policy 535 members of Congress.” In his opinion, is a “diplomatic challenge” for the White house. After the adoption of the law, the official said, Washington will not be able “to react quickly to certain circumstances.”

The U.S. Senate on 15 June approved a bill providing for new sanctions against Russia and Iran. The bill, in particular, proposes to reduce the maximum term of market financing of Russian banks under sanctions, up to 14 days, and of the companies subjected to the oil and gas sector — up to 30 days.

In accordance with the provisions of the document, the US President can impose sanctions on persons intending to invest in the construction of Russian export pipelines over $ 5 million a year or $ 1 million lump sum. Under the sanctions also can get providers to firms-contractors from Russia, services, technology and information support.

The bill has not yet passed the house of representatives and, accordingly, was not signed by the President of the United States.
