The first blocks of thermal power plants in Crimea will start to work in the first quarter of 2018. On Tuesday, 11 July, said Minister of energy of Russia Alexander Novak. He stressed that the scandal because of the turbines, Siemens will not affect the launch date.
“The project will be in any case implemented, as we need the construction of generation,” said the Minister, adding that “companies are implementing those technical solutions that were adopted”, reports TASS.
The construction of two thermal power plants for 470 megawatts in Crimea is carried out under the program “Socially-economic development of the Republic of Crimea and city of Sevastopol until 2020”. The amount of investment is estimated at 49 billion rubles.
