The state Duma has voiced the text of the oath of Russian citizenship


The first Deputy Chairman of the Duma Committee on state construction and legislation Mikhail Emelyanov on Friday quoted a preliminary version of the oath of Russian citizenship.

As reported RIA Novosti, after the meeting, the speaker of the state Duma Vyacheslav Volodin has chosen the preliminary text of the oath.

It is noted that the basis was taken option, proposed by the head of Committee Pavel Krasheninnikov.

The text reads as follows: “I (full name) voluntarily and knowingly taking the citizenship of the Russian Federation I swear to respect the Constitution and the legislation of the Russian Federation, rights and freedoms of its citizens, to perform the duties of the citizen of the Russian Federation for the benefit of the state and society to protect the freedom and independence of the Russian Federation, to be loyal to Russia, to respect its culture, history and tradition.

We will remind, with the initiative to introduce the oath at the introduction into citizenship of the Russian Federation informed at the beginning of June by the President of Russia Vladimir Putin. He reminded that a similar procedure exists in other States.
