As reported TASS, the draft law on resolution in the country same-sex marriage was introduced by the Social democratic party of Germany (SPD) together with the Left party and green.

Spoke out against the Conservative bloc led by Angela Merkel. However, the decision was made by a majority of 393 votes, opposed by 226 MPs, with 4 abstentions.

Merkel herself also said that he voted against legalization, while earlier urging MPs to vote according to conscience regardless of the decision of the faction.
