Matviyenko called “weird” the existence of roaming between Russia and Belarus


The Federation Council speaker Valentine Matvienko during the fourth forum of regions of Russia and Belarus appealed to the Minister of communications Nikolay Nikiforov with the proposal to abolish paid roaming between the two countries.

“Our esteemed Minister of communications, of course, wildly, between Russia and Belarus roaming…”, – said Matvienko, adding that the people, the regions need to communicate and that the mobile phone company “not poor”.

“Let’s ask you to work with Belarusian colleagues,” – said Matvienko, referring to the Nikiforov and promised to connect the upper chamber, if there is a need to solve the issue legislatively.
