McFaul told about the imminent resignation of the Russian Ambassador Kislyak

Former U.S. Ambassador to Russia Michael McFaul wrote in his Twitter that the head of the Russian diplomatic mission to the U.S. Sergey Kislyak prepares to leave. Recall now that in the US there is an investigation regarding the alleged intervention of the Russian Federation in a presidential election. Some politicians from the environment trump is accused of meeting with Kislyak.

“As an Ambassador Kislyak to prepare for departure from the Russian Embassy in the US, I wish him all the best. At a time when I represented the us government, I liked to work with him, even when we did not agree”, – wrote in his Twitter account, former U.S. Ambassador to Russia Michael McFaul.

As Ambassador Kislyak gets ready to leave @RusEmbUSA, I wish him well. While in the USG, I enjoyed working with him, even when we disagreed.

I must say that this message many American readers of his blog took a critical. They didn’t like that McFaul said about the Russian after the kind words.

“Frankly, I’m ashamed for you that you tweeted it,” wrote one of podeschi.

Another user noted that Kislyak “worked for the enemy of the United States.” McFaul wrote: “It was my job to communicate with Kislyak, when I worked in the White house.”

“Did he (Kislyak – ed.) not one of the participants of a conspiracy to undermine our democracy,” also asked McFaul. Former US Ambassador replied: “I honestly don’t think so. With new data, I am ready to be corrected”.

Meanwhile, the official comments about the care Kislyak yet. As well as not confirmed speculation that he will head the new anti-terrorist Commission in the UN.

In may, the source of “Interfax” in the state Duma Committee on international Affairs reported that the Committee endorsed the candidature of Deputy foreign Minister Anatoly Antonov to the post of Russian Ambassador to the United States.
