The countries-participants of the EU Summit preparing to extend sanctions against Russia


According to a senior source in the European Union, which starts today, June 22, at the Summit of heads of state of the European Union will discuss the extension of economic sanctions against Russia.

“The leaders of the countries-EU members should familiarise themselves with the latest information from the President of France Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Angela Merkel, concerning the implementation of the Minsk agreements. On the basis of this information, it may be decided to extend economic sanctions against Russia. Participants will also discuss strengthening defense cooperation within the EU, the fight against terrorism and illegal migration and exit of Britain from the EU”, – said the source.
