The bill on “reintegration” of Donbass allows the introduction of an international police mission


The representative of the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko in the Verkhovna Rada Iryna Lutsenko on Monday, June 19, stated that the bill “reintegration” of Donbass does not exclude that in the “occupied” the Donetsk and Lugansk regions will be put police or other peacekeeping mission of the international organizations.

In addition, she noted that the bill makes reference to the Minsk agreements. According to Lutsenko, the draft law will be submitted for consideration of the Ukrainian Parliament during the current session.

“I don’t want to promise week two, prior to the completion of this session, probably in hall will introduce a bill. Look at the awareness of MPs how they will vote,” she said.

Lutsenko also added that the bill also prompted to provide an opportunity for Poroshenko to introduce in certain districts of Donetsk and Lugansk regions martial law.

She noted that the bill requires the creation of a single headquarters, subordinate to President Square.
