Engineers have demonstrated a humanoid robot that will walk on Mars

A group of scientists involved in the development of a humanoid robot Valkyrie , showed what he is already capable of their offspring. In a video posted on the Internet, you can see how the design of humanoid forms moving through difficult terrain.

Presented the robot has about 200 sensors on the head, shoulders, stomach and legs. It is expected that in the future it could be sent to Mars and to participate in research missions. The video can be seen as a human mechanism to cope with quite challenging — moves are fairly chaotic building blocks between two quite distant from each other points, not touching the floor.

In the comments to the video some said that the robot reminded them of a familiar many children the fun — trying to overcome the room, never touching the floor and imagining that they are traveling over a red-hot lava. In General most of the Internet users have praised the engineers of the obtained results is quite high — let the motion of the robot while slow, they look like quite smoothly in its own way confidently. Some, however, were interested in whether the robot is able to perform a similar job under less favourable conditions — for example, if will blow a strong wind.

Last year the network got a video of a humanoid robot, shot in much more unusual circumstances — an elderly American woman strolling through the woods with his dog stumbled upon the engineers who conducted the test mechanism is also designed to move over rough terrain. It should be noted that the robot, met the American in the forest, moving much faster than the Valkyrie, but the route was pretty flat (at least, for the forest road) — it could even drive a small car, which kept the generator to supply the robot with energy.
