The U.S. promised to help Ukraine defend itself from Russia’s black sea fleet


During the visit of Ukrainian border guards in the United States reached an agreement on the direction of the ex-Soviet Republic’s long-term adviser from the U.S. Coast guard. The American side intends “to help in the implementation of deeper and more systematic approach to increase the capacity of Maritime guard of the border agencies of Ukraine”.

The Ukrainian delegation agreed on with the Americans, “the main ways of further cooperation” on the reform of Maritime safety Gospogransluzhby of Ukraine to ensure an adequate level of safety in the Black and Azov seas.
