The activist of the Maidan, the court said about the shooter of the Ukrainian opposition


The activist of the Maidan Vladimir Vencac at the court session on the case of fighters of special forces of MIA of Ukraine “Berkut”, said that shooting at protesters was from the hotel “Ukraine”, where the opponents of the then President Viktor Yanukovych. Venac is a witness in the case, which is discussed in the Svyatoshinsky district court of Kiev.

The activist told the court that he had received six wounds during the events of February 20, 2014.

“The first wound I got in the back. But not from the government quarter, where there was a clear threat… and from the side of the hotel “Ukraine” – said the witness. – In the video we saw of the place the bullets hit, which could only be from the hotel “Ukraine”.

While the security forces, said Venac, fired into the air from pump action shotguns. The witness also said that he saw snipers on the roof of the Conservatory, but at first took them for the security forces, as had no idea what a civilian can carry a gun.
