Austria’s government on Friday finally approved the law on the integration of migrants, which imposes several limitations on the demonstration of religious affiliation in public places, according to OE24.
Thus, the law prohibits the wearing of a full face-covering Muslim women’s clothing, particularly cloaks. For violation a fine of EUR 150. In addition, a ban to cover their heads with a kerchief, but only for officials, judges and prosecutors.
The law obliges migrants to learn German, otherwise they are not guaranteed the allocation of seats on community service.
The law, signed by the President of Austria Alexander van der Bellekom shall enter into force on 1 October.
