Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law on criminal liability for inducing children to suicidal actions. The corresponding document was published on Wednesday, June 7, on the official Internet portal of legal information. It is, in particular, criminalizing the creation of “groups of death” in social networks.
The law provides that incitement to suicide of minors translates into the category of serious crimes that is punishable with imprisonment up to six years.
In addition, the criminal code of Russia will replenish with new articles, such as “inducement to commit suicide or assisting suicide” and “organization of activities connected with inciting citizens to commit suicide”.
