The Federation Council intends to establish a special Commission for the suppression of interference in the internal Affairs of Russia. It is expected that a decision would be taken at a meeting of the upper chamber on 7 June, when the agenda will be submitted the question.
According to “Kommersant”, the new Commission will monitor “hostile activity of foreign States and international organizations”, and will be engaged in analysis of Russian and international law to prevent interference in Russian Affairs.
Interlocutors of the edition noted that the establishment of the Commission, including, is connected with approach of presidential elections. Against this background is a “sharp increase in external activity” through the use of non-governmental organizations, as well as “loyal to the West” of the media.
