The President of the Syrian Arab Republic Bashar al-Assad in an interview WION Saturday, June 3, said that the situation in Syria is improving every day and the worst is over, as the militants of the terrorist groups otuput.
“The situation in Syria has improved markedly, so to speak, due to the fact that terrorist groups, mainly the Islamic state and “Dzhebhat EN-Nusra” (banned in Russia), retreat, or, say, due to the fact that the territory under their control is shrinking. Thus, the field environment, from a military point of view, is now much better than before,” said Assad.
The Syrian President also stressed that the situation continues to remain tense not only because of the military conflict, but also due to the fact that terrorist groups receive financial support and support from a number of States. In particular, according to Assad, the militants have the support of Turkey, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Western countries – the United States, France and Britain.
