Russian President Vladimir Putin praised his American counterpart Donald trump in conversation with heads of foreign news agencies within the St. Petersburg international economic forum. The Russian leader said that a final opinion about trump will be after a personal meeting and announced that Moscow will patiently wait for on the West end “Russophobic hysteria”.
Russian President Vladimir Putin said in a conversation with representatives of the Western news agencies at the SPIEF on Thursday that he likes guys like Donald trump and he wants to build a good relationship with the American leader, reports Bloomberg.
“He is a man of direct and candid”, – Putin told foreign journalists. “He can’t be placed in the same category as conventional policy. I see this as an advantage. It has a fresh look”.
The President of Russia noted that while it is difficult to form a complete impression of the American leader, as long as they only talked on the phone. The leaders of the two countries should meet for the first time at the G-20 summit in Hamburg in July.
“How can you be friends with someone you don’t know?” – said Putin. “I don’t think he can call me a friend. We never saw each other in the face.”
Putin also stressed that he was not going to give Trump advice on how to lead America. Putin noted that trump, like other politicians, overly limited by their environment, bureaucracy. The Russian President said that doesn’t know how will relations between Washington and Moscow, given the “current political struggle” in Washington.
