Putin quipped about the increase of military spending of NATO

Communicating with journalists of the French newspaper Le Figaro, Russian President Vladimir Putin suggested that NATO plans to increase military spending at odds with the statements of the Alliance on the improvement of relations with Russia.

“At the NATO summit heard statements that NATO wants to establish good relations with Russia. Why increase military spending? To fight against whom?… Although, it really is none of our business. Let NATO understands what and how much to pay, we are not concerned. Russia provides its own defenses, reliably, for the future,” – said the President of Russia.
