Putin opens Turkey: the President canceled a series of economic sanctions


Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree abolishing certain special economic measures against Turkey. This was reported Wednesday on the Kremlin website.

In accordance with the document, removed restrictions on the employment in Russia of Turkish workers for work of Turkish companies for certain types of activities.

In addition, the list of categories of Turkish citizens who have the right to enter Russia on a visa-free regime. The Russian foreign Ministry is charged to inform Turkey about the partial renewal of the intergovernmental agreement on mutual trips of 12 may 2010, which has not acted on certain items from the beginning of 2016.

Economic measures were introduced in response to the attack of the Turkish air force shot down Russian su-24. Agreement on lifting restrictions in mutual trade was reached in may 2017, a joint Declaration was signed by the presidents Vladimir Putin and Tayyip Erdogan.
