The Ministry of foreign Affairs and European integration of Moldova said Monday that five Russian diplomats declared persona non grata and will be expelled from the country. While no details and the names of the Russians is not known. The President of Moldova, Igor Dodon, called it “outrageous act”.

The Moldovan foreign Ministry told reporters on Monday that the five diplomats of the Russian Embassy will be expelled. According to TASS, the corresponding note has been transferred to the Russian diplomatic mission.
Russian Ambassador to Moldova Farit Mukhametshin confirmed that the document obtained and now it is studied. “While I won’t comment on that,” he said.

The President of Moldova, Igor Dodon said that the Moldovan authorities “flagrantly against the Russian Embassy in the Republic”. Dodon stressed that he is deeply outraged by the announcement the persona non grata of the Russian diplomats and condemns such actions of the government.
As reported by RIA “Novosti”, a member of the Federation Council Committee on international Affairs Igor Morozov, commenting on the news, said that Moldova took this decision under the influence of Western intelligence agencies. In his opinion, this is the answer to Dodon attempts to improve relations with Russia.
Morozov added that Russia will respond to this gesture symmetric measures so as not to react in this situation is impossible.
