Patrushev spoke about the 7 million neo-Nazis in Europe


The Secretary of the Russian security Council Nikolai Patrushev in an interview to “Rossiyskaya Gazeta” reported that more than one percent of European citizens are members of neo-Nazi groups. The source of his data, he did not.

This statement Patrushev made in response to the question, “why are Europeans indifferent look on the fellow, joining the ranks of the Ukrainian nationalist battalions”.

In the opinion of the Secretary of Subsea, this is because “in Europe, the reborn neo-Nazi ideas” and “neo-Nazi and radical nationalist groups” consist of more than 7 million people.

Recall that the total population of the EU is just over 500 million people.

Particularly, said Patrushev, a lot of neo-Nazis in Poland and the Baltic States: they are, according to him, the authorities contribute to the growth of the ideas of anti-Semitism, Russophobia and neo-Nazism.

Note, however, that in March 2015 in St. Petersburg hosted the international Russian conservative forum brought together representatives of the nationalist and neo-Nazi groups from across Europe. Despite the public outrage, authorities have not commented on this event.
