The former head of the FBI wrote a farewell letter to his former colleagues, which claimed the U.S. President to remove from office the head of the office for any reason, reports CNN.
He also stressed that it is not going to spend time discussing the decision of the us leader Donald trump about the dismissal.
“I have always believed that the President can fire the FBI Director for any reason or for no reason at all. I’m not going to waste time arguing about this decision and how it was fulfilled,” wrote Komi Republic in his letter.
The former head of the FBI said that in turbulent times people need to see the FBI “Bastion of competence, integrity and independence”.
