The Ministry of culture of Ukraine requires the transfer of archaeological finds from the Crimea


In Ukraine spoke about ongoing in Crimea archaeological excavations. The Ministry of culture of Ukraine insist on the transfer of Museum Fund of the country all made on the Peninsula of archaeological finds. The Department attribute this to the requirements of Ukrainian legislation.

It is primarily about the archaeological work at the site of the ancient Tirimacco shaft, which protected the inhabitants of Panticapaeum from the nomads. The Ukrainian Ministry reported that after a three-month excavation of the shaft, disassemble and build the track “Tavrida”.

Ukrainian specialists are unable to monitor the safety of archaeological sites in the Crimea. The Ministry of culture of Ukraine appealed to the foreign Ministry and UNESCO with a request to resolve the situation. The Agency in February protested against the Russo-British excavations on the Peninsula.
