The presidents of Belarus and Ukraine Alexander Lukashenko and Petro Poroshenko on Wednesday, the anniversary of the Chernobyl disaster, honored the memory of liquidators of the accident, reports BelTA.
The heads of state laid flowers to the “memorial Wall” and memorial complex “Heroes of Chernobyl”.

Then politicians have made statements which emphasized the importance of cooperation between the two countries in the aftermath of the accident.
“Belarusians and Ukrainians understand that the Chernobyl disaster knows no boundaries. Our state try together to overcome this disaster,” – said Lukashenko.
According to him, implemented a number of joint activities of radiation monitoring. “However, the potential of cooperation between Belarus and Ukraine is far from being in full”, – said the head of Belarus. According to him, scientists, doctors, ecologists can do much more.
