The meeting of the presidents of Ukraine and Belarus on the occasion of the anniversary of the Chernobyl accident was marked by mutual assurances of politicians in the brotherhood of the two peoples and readiness for mutual aid. Ukrainian leader Petro Poroshenko assured that between his country and the neighboring people will never be war. About the same, said Belarusian President Alyaksandr Lukashenka.
“We are native people, we can only come to you or, as I said, come on the tractor to help plow the land if need be. We will work only in the name of peace,” – said Lukashenko, quoted by him “Корреспондент.net”.
He called as soon as possible to stop “these internecine fights, a showdown with a gun, looking warily at each other” and assured that Belarus is ready to continue to contribute to the peaceful settlement in the Donbass.
