Lukashenko and Poroshenko agreed to meet at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko on Wednesday, April 26, will hold a meeting with his Ukrainian counterpart Petro Poroshenko in the framework of the events dedicated to the anniversary of the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. This was reported on the official Internet portal of the President of the Republic of Belarus.

The two leaders will visit the Chernobyl nuclear power plant or nearby objects.

It is planned that Lukashenko and Poroshenko will appreciate the new safe protective structures and get acquainted with the storage of spent nuclear fuel, and will honor the memory of the liquidators and victims of the accident at the nuclear power station.

On the same day, Lukashenko and Poroshenko will hold talks in Belarus.

The presidents will discuss issues of Belarusian-Ukrainian partnership, especially in trade-economic field and political cooperation, the international agenda and further efforts for the peaceful resolution of the armed conflict in the Donbass.
